Page templates

Exact, copy/paste-ready templates for expanding the site safely and consistently.

1) City page template

  • URL: /cities/<city-slug>.html
  • Intent: local orientation + what to verify
  • Core sections: how it works, verify locally, drop-off streams, make money ethically, starter actions
  • Tags: cities, local rules, systems
Keep content generic unless you can cite official local sources. The “what to verify locally” block is the safety layer.

2) Comparison page template

  • URL: /comparisons/<topic-slug>.html
  • Intent: decision support (tradeoffs)
  • Core sections: definitions, when A wins, when B wins, costs & operations, climate notes, checklist
  • Tags: comparisons, systems, climate

3) Tool page template

  • URL: /tools/<tool>.html
  • Intent: interactive retention + internal links
  • Requirements: client-side only, clear disclaimers, links to related learning pages

4) Data page template

  • URL: /data/<topic>.html
  • Intent: citeable reference hub
  • Core sections: definitions, key points, source types, update log
  • Schema: Dataset (JSON-LD)

Internal linking rules (site-wide)

  • Add 3–6 contextual inline links per page.
  • Always include a “Related” block with 3 cards (guide + climate + solution or money).
  • Use tags to connect clusters (systems, contamination, policy, climate, business).
  • Keep hub pages paginated; don’t dump 1,000 links on one page.
